TARIFF BILL.

(By Telegraph—Parliamentary Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, September 19. The Legislative Council, this afternoon, discussed the Tariff Bill. The Labour members expressed dissatisfaction at the protective duties not being made heavier. The Hon. J. Rigg (Wellington) quoted figures to show that two million pounds worth of goods were annually imported, which could be manufactured in the colony with a protective duty in their favour.
