The Federated Shipbuilding Employers of Great Britain have decided to dispense with the services of members of the Boilermakers' Society from October sth, owing to members of the society at a ballot rejecting a recent provisional agreement.
KILLED DURING MANOEUVRES
Received September 19, 9.50 a.m. VIENNA. September 18. Two corporals were killed by ball cartridges during manoeuvres at Karlowitz. Four privates were later arrested for having in their possession fourteen ball cartridges.
FRENCH WINE,
Received September 19, 8.31 a.m PARIS, September 18.
After many conferences, the French Winegrowers' Federation formed in Bezeira, in the Department of Herault, and representing the Department of Audeherault and other districts, will fix the prices and conditions of sale of southern wines. It is hoped this will lead to a solution of the crisis.
STOLEN, BUT RECOVERED.

A painting by Rubens, valued at £4.000, and stolen from Count Asache's collection, has heer. recovered in Paris. Three arrests were made in connection with the theft.

COPPER.

Reuter's New York correspondent states that companies subsidiary to the Amalgamated Copper Company have resolved to restrict the output of copper by 50 per cent, immediatelv.

Received September 19, 9.59 p.m. CAPETOWN, September 19, The Government favour the establishment in London of an Intercolonial Commercial Agency, representing the five South African colonies.
