"MOTHER GOOSE."
The bcx plan for Mr J. C. Williamson's pantomime, "Mother Goose," will open this morning. Referring to this pantomime the Auckland Star says:—"No such pantomime has been seen for long years, if at all, in Australasia, and if a fair degree of experience elsewhere may be allowed to tell, nothing much better is likely to be seen outside of London. Without piling on the adjectives unduly, it was a magnificent production—-magnifi'.-ent in its wealth and brilliancy of colour and effect, its endless variety of pretty, clever, and telling situations. 'Mother Goose' is a real children's pantomime, and it is a pantomime that, while in many ways satisfying especially the adult taste, is calculated lo accomplish the sweet and wholesome of recreating in older people for a few brief hours something of childhood's joy and irresponsibility." "In connection with the Wellington season of Mr J. C. Williamson's pantomime, ; "Mother Goose," the Railway Department has granted special railway facilities during the season. On September 24th and 25th holiday excursion fares will be issued on trains leaving Napier, New Plymouth, and intermediate stations, the tickets to be available for return within a week. The management states that in anticipation of an influx of country visitors it has been arranged that seats may be booked by post. The box plan will open on Thursday morning at the Dresden Pinano Company, Wellington.
