CARTERTON.
(Fiona Our Own Correspondent). . Monday. The funeral of the late Mr John Sullivan took place at the Clareville Cemetery. yjjj|erday afternoon, the cortege being a large one. A short service was held in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, and the services at the graveside were conducted by the Rev. Father Cahill. Miss Lorna Berrill, daughter of Mr W. J. Berrill, of this town, is lying" seriously ill, and her condition is causing her relatives considerable anxiety. Hail fell in Carterton on Sunday, and the weather was bitterly cold. At the Flower Show, held on Saturday, the Clareville School children carried off the special prize for the schools' exhibit. The supply of milk at the four factories in the district is steadily increasing.
