THE COMING WAR.
(To the Editor). Sir,—That the war cloud of the wage-earners is now apparent on the world's horizon cannot be doubted, and that it will burst with lightning fury in the near future can, also, be prognosticated by any advanced thinker. The legislators of the present seem neither to possess the courage, the ability, nor the will to grapple with the mighty problem that now faces them. That a closer combination of the wage-earners is now taking place, and will continue to do so, cannot be doubted, the result of which will be that from the ranks of the workers will come forth men of gigantic ability, and courage, men who will sohe the world's present greatest problems, men that will emancipate the present semislavery of the workers of the civilised world. In our own colony it is clearly seen that there is immediate trouble close at hand, and that our leading legislators seem to be totally unfit to face the labour question. Therefore, it is not a difficult matter to anticipate a great change in the near future.—l am, etc., J.M. Masterton, September 16th, 1906.
