PALMERSTON NORTH SUPREME COURT.

PALMERSTON N., September 13. The criminal sittings of the Supreme Court were continued to-day. Harry Deeley was charged with the theft of an overcoat, cloves, and ten pounds in money. The jury, after a retirement lasting four hours, were unable to agree. Accused is to be re-tried at the next criminal sittings of the Supreme Court litre. Bail was allowed. John Smith, charged with the theft of an overcoat and money, was found guilty, and remanded in' sentence till to-morrow. Alexander McGlashan, charged with breaking and entering, was acquitted.
