MAURICEVILLE RIFLE CLUB.

» (From Our Own Correspondent). f The annual meeting of the Maurice- • ville Rifle Club was held, on Saturday evening last, there being a good attendance of members. The balancewhich was adopted, showed a credit balance of £9 16s 6d. This was considered very satisfactory. The expenditure during the past season amounted to £lO 8s Id. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—Patron, Mr R. Cameron; President, Mr F. W. H. Kummer; Vice-Presidents, Messrs G. C. Summerell, D. H. Rutherford, C. H. Smith, D. Caselberg, J. D. Cruickshank, J. J. Kennedy, G. Hofleins, 0. E. Blewett, E. J. Rose, A. H. Wrightson, F. M. Ross, F. Maunseli, T. Brown, J. Jorgensen, and C. E. Daniell; Captain, Secretary and Treasurer, Mr R. F. Wilton (reelected); Vice-Captain, Mr C. E. Blewett (re-elected); Handicapper, MrF. W. H. Kummer (re-elected). Messrs C. Brooks and M. J. McKenzie were re-elected auditors. It was decided that the subscription should be 7s 6d for the ensuing year, j. be Secretary and his assistant were voted a bonus of £2 2s and £1 Is. respectively. It was decided to open 9 the season on Saturday, September 21st, with the 200 yds and 500 yds class firing. Votes of thanks were accorded to the donors of trophies, to Messrs Kummer, Hoffeins and Jensen for the use of their properties, and to Mr F. M. Ross for the use of the room. The following is the list of the prize-winners for the past season: —Grand Aggregate (five, competitions).— Captain Wilton, 432 points, winner of shield and Mr R. Cameron's £2 2s, first- Rifleman A. M. Rose. 428 points (Mr E. J. Rose's trophy £1 Is), second: Rifleman C. E. Blewett, 424 points (W.F.C.A.£I Is), third; Rifleman A. A. Dagg, 415, / (Mr C. E. Daniell's £1 Is) fourth; Rifleman F. M. Ross 404 points, (Mr R. Camtron's £1) fifth. Rifleman C. E. Blewett is the winner of the two years' aggregate with 848 points; Rifleman A. A. Dagg second, with 837 points; Captain Wilton third, with 833 points. , Rifleman C. E. Blewett also won the special trophy competition with 265 points, Rifleman F. M. Ross being runner-up with n score of 262 points, and Rifleman A. M. Rose third with 254 points. \ The following are the winners of the range prizes:—2oo Yards: Captain R. F. Wilton, four scores, 120 Jfefats. 500 Yards: A. M. Rose, Tight scores, 238 points. GOO Yards: Captain R. F. Wilton, eight scores 218 points. 700 Yards: A. A. Dagg, four scores, 105 points. The following members tied for tht prize during trophy competitions, and divided the amount:— Captain Wilton, Rifleman C. E. Blewett, Rifleman A. M. Rose, Rifleman E. H. Dagg, R. C. F. Dagg.
