""The export of gold from Mew Zealand for months of the present year totalled 330,7870z,va1ued at £1,323,793, as compared with 370,3690z of the va'ue of £1,495,380, for the corresponding period of last year, being a decrease of 39,5520z. The exnort last month was 50,9510z, of the "value of £203,565, as compared with 41,6i500z, valued at 167,467, for August 1906. The entries at the various ports last month were as follow: —Auckland, 36,152 oz. £145,292; Dunedin, 7,9010z, £32,098; Grey*nouth, 6,5110z, £25,828; Nelson, 87oz, £347. The export of silver last month "was 152,4780z, valued at £15,941.
