Land continues to increase in value on this coast, says the Manawatu Standard. A settler who recently purchased a farm thirteen miles from Feilding has disposed of the property at a profit of £9OO on his bargain. How closely the interests of the town are interwoven with those of the country has been made particularly manifest during the past year of drought, says the Oamaru Mail. The glorious rains of last week have., however, had the effect of giving things rural a much more hopeful appearance, and already tradesmen report a revival of business.
