STOCK MARKET.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report as follow:—We held our fortnightly Eketahuna sale on Friday last.. We had a fair yarding of hoggets, and a large yarding of cattle. We quote:—Hoggets 14s 3d, 14s 6d to 15s sd, small wethers ]ss 3d. Cattle: Rising 3-year steers £4 10s to £4 15s, stciers £3 10s Gd to £4 2s, small heifers in calf to £3 19s, cows tp £4 15s, small weaners 17s. At same place we sold on account of Mr T. Parsons his dairy herd of cows. Cows that showed forward- in calf brought fair prices. Backward were neglected owing to shortness of feed; average £5 3s. On Tuesday,, August 27th, we held a clearing sale at Hastwell, on account Mr H. J. Fletcher. Forward calvers sold well; average £5 Is. On Wednesday, 28th, we sold Mr Jacob Younger's dairy herd. Cows were very low in condition, and did not show in calf. Resmt, low prices. Traps and milk cans well. On Thursday, at Mr J. Chamberlain's homestead, we sold his dairy herd. Cows, poor, average £4 10s. Sows in pig £2 12 sto £3 9s, milk cans 10s to 17s, trap and harness £l9 3s.
