That in pursuance and exorcise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by •'The Municipal Corporations Act, 19U0." section 201, tne Masterton Borough Council hereby resolves (by way of Special Order) that the portion of tha Waterworks Reserve known as Big Island (Run 27) containing 120 acres or thereabouts, is not likely to be required for the purpose for which it is held, for a period of 21 years, and that such reserve may be let on lease for any term not exceeding the said perhd of 21 years, sutjec;to the provisions of the said Aot.

Shooting-galleries Licensing Bylaw.- And notieo is also given that at tho aforesaid Special Meeting it was resolved (by way of Special Order) that the Masterton Borough Council make a By law under "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1900," the object and purport of wMch By-Jaw are as under: To compel the licensing of all shooting galleries in the Borough, to provide for mode of application lor license, conditions of granting licen-es. prescribing fees to be paid, regulations for conducl., inspection by proper officers, cancellation of license, transfers of license. A copy of the proposed Special Order and By-law is deposited at the Town Clerk'a Oilice, Chapel Street, for public inspection during oilice hour 3 until tho day of the confirming meeting. And notice is hereby also given that the said Kesolutions and By-law will be submitted to a Special Meeting of the said Council to be held at the Borough Council Chambers, Cbapel Street, on Tuesday, the 10t,h day of September, 1907, at 7.30 p.m., for confirmation as Special Orders.
