WELLINGTON RACING CLUB.

By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, August 30. The annual meeting of the Wellington Racing Club was held tonight. The President (Mr J. B. Harcourt) said that the stakes paid last year totalled £13,030, an increase of £2,745 as compared with the previous year. The totalisator receipts were £14,336, an increase of £4,723. The total receipts amounted to £25,260, an increase of £5,839. The club's assets amounted to £39,754 and liabilities to £32,837. The financial position of the club had improved during the year by about £5,000.
