LOSSES AMOUNT TO £3,000,000. SIXTY THOUSAND PEOPLE HOMELESS. Received August 30, 10.25 p.m. TOKIO, August 30. The losses in connection with the Hakodate fire amount to £3,000,000. Sixty thousand people are rendered homeless. (Three-fourths of Hakodate, a seaport town and treaty port on a peninsula the south-west extremity of Yezo, in Sawgar or Tsugara Strait, was dest'oyed by fire re cently.)
