MISS JESSIE MACLACHLAN.

A contemporary says:—"To hear Miss Maclachlan sing "Comin' Thro' the Rye' and 'Whistle, and I'll Come Tae Ye My Lad,' it would to her hearers as though that was the acme of singing. It is only when she changes her musical mood and becomes a Scottish Brunnhilde singing 'Bonny Blue Bonnets,' 'Scots Wha Hae' and 'A Hundred Pipers' thac the audience recognise what a supremely artistic singer she is." The company will appear at Masterton on Monday, September 2nd. In addition to Miss Maclachlan the Company has been strengthened by the inclusion of Mr Duuglas Young, the Scottish tenor. Mr John -McLinden will play a number of his most popular 'cello solos. Mr Robert Buchanan acts as accompanist and musical director.
