Hallam captured 153 wickets at an average of 11 runs per wicket, and Wass 145 at an average of 13. Middlesex defeated Sussex. Tarrant, in the second innings, took eight wickets for 49. (The Middlesex team includes two ex-Australians—Tarrant and Trott.)
