STANDARD OIL TRUST.
Received August 22, 7.46 a.m. NEW YORK, August 21. The Standard Oil di-ectors have published a pamphlet declaring the company's absolute innocence of wrong-doing, particularly in connection with the cases for which they were fined. The directors assert that the verdict was obtained upon a hairsplitting technicality, aided by the exclusion of evidence which would have removed all presumption of guilt.
