C.J.C. MEETING. By Telegraph—Press Association. CHRISTCHUKCH, August 17. The weather was fine for the concl J ling day of the Grand National Me ■ting, and the attendance was aga'.ngood. The totalisator investments amounted to £19,199 making an aggregate for the meeting of £61,641. During the day the stewards asked the owner and trainer of Needlework to explain the difference in that horse's running in the Grand National Steeplechase as compared with his form at Wellington in the July Steeplechase. The explanation was considered satisfactory. Results: — Ladies' Bracelet, 2 miles. —Lull, 11.10, 1; Last Ensign, 11.10, 2. Also started—Merriwai 11.8, Westward 11.8. Won very easily.
