The Wellington Public School representatives, who are to play the Wairarapa School representatives on the Masterton Schoolground, this afternoon, arrived in Masterton by the 8.30 o'clock train last evening, and were met at the Railway Station by several of the Masterton teachers, members of the Wairarapa team and a large number of scholars. The match will commence at 2.30 o'clock, and the visitors will be entertained by the Wairarapa team at a social in the Exchange Buildings after the match. The Masterton A. and P. Association has granted the use of the Showgrounds for the costume football match, Butchers v. Bakers, on Thurs • day next. The committee decided at a meeting held last evening that a collection should be made at the gates, the proceeds of which will be donated to the Woodward family. A smoke concert will be held in the evening at the rear of the Foresters' Hall. The master butchers and bakers have donated a trophy to be held by the winning team for twelve months.
