HOCKEY.

In the match Knox v. VVF.C.A , yesterday, the former club failed to muster a full team, and made ip eleven players by including several Kia Kaha players. Williams, another Kia Kaha player, was included in the W.F.C.A. team during the first half, and played for the Knox Club in the second half. In the first spell, Williams and Dickson shot a goal each for W.F.C.A., and in the second half Williams scored three goals for Knox, while W.F.C.A. failed to score, Knox thus winning by three goals to two. The greasy state of the ground prevented anything like a good exhibition of hockey. Mr W. J. Vernon was referee.

Owing to the inclement state of the weather, yesterday, the scratch match, Kia Kaha v. United, was abandoned.
