HOCKEY.
The representative match, Wairarapa v. Wanganui, will be played in Masterton on Monday, August 26fch. The following team will represent Wairarapa: —Goalkeeper, Hall; fullbacks, Thynne and J. Fisher; halves, Fairbrother, Donald and Carley; forwards, King, Williams, Pragnell, Rue, and Bunny. Emergencies— Minett, Nixon, Nicol, and Richards. The Carterton B team have notified the Secretary of the Kia Kaha Club of their inability to get a team together to play to-day. A practice match has been arranged with the United Ciub *nd the following will represent Kia Kaha: —Truscott, Thynne, Gordon, McLean, Anderson, Donald, Nixon, Williams, Brown, Rue and Richards. The matches to be played in Masterton, to-day, are: —Knox v. W.F.O.A. and United v. Kia Kaha. The latter is a scratch match, and is being played on account of Carterton B and Greytown having forfeited to Kia Kaha and United respectively. The following will represent the W.F.C.A. in their match with the Knox Club, to-day, play to commence at 2.45 p.m.: —Fleming. Smith, Scrimgeour, Russell, Fairbrother, Richards, Bush, Dickson Pragnell, Horne and Ralph.
