THE POLICE THEORY. 'Received August 13, 9 a.m. PARIS, August 12. Freitch newspapers state that the police consider Mrs Goold the author of the murder. Her husband is a morphomaniac and would be physically and morally unable to resist her.
STATEMENT BY MRS GOOLD. Received August 13, 10.4 p.m. PARIS, August 13. Mrs Goold, in reply to interrogations, admitted that she had possession of the bulk ot Mrs Levin's jewellery and stated that she intended tu get rid of it by throwing it into the sea. She was slightly acquainted with Mrs Levin. She was introduced to her three months ago and received, at most, three visits from her.
