THE SITUATION AT RABAT.

Received August 12, 9 a.m. MOROCCO, August 11. The situation at Rabat is alarming the Europeans. The native authorities have formed a band of 550 volunteers to defend the walls, but that number will be inadequate in the event of a serious attack. (Rabat is a seaport. The fort is on a rock whose sides fall sheer to the ocoan. The population has been variously estimated" at frota 12,000 to 25,000.) THE MOORS SUFFER TERRIBLE LOSSES. Received August 12, 9.44 p.m. MOEOCCO, August 12. The bombardment of Casablanca on Saturday prevented many thousands of Moors reapproaching the -town. The Moors' losses ha»e been terrible since the outset.

A HORRIBLE STATE OF AFFAIRS. THE FRENCH DISPLAY DAUNTLESS VALOUR. Received August 13, 12,34 a.m. MOROCCO, August 12. The stench from the corpses at •Casablanca is so bad that the air is foetid for a mile off the coast. It will foe necessary to burn the corpses still tanburied. The French Admiralty thanked Msss Spinney, a sister of the Consul at Maryagan, for nursing the Casablanca wounded. Fighting outside the town is almost continuous, fbe by dauntless valour repelling and driving off great hordes of tribes. The latter were decimated while boldly advancing on the artillery and Maxims.
