j * .. i Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held a clearing sale on account of Mr A. Nc-wcombe, Nireaha, on Friday, August 9th. The day being fine, a large number of settlers turned up, and the sale resulted very satisfactorily. Ewes in lamb £1 2s. £l. Is lid, £1 Is lOd, £1 0s Id; wethers, 18s 2d; ewe lambs, I4s 7d; .vether lambs, 14s 8d; aged rams 5s to £ll Is; steers, £2 5s to £3 Is; 18 months heifers, £1 lis 6d; heifers in calf, £2 5s to £3 14s; fowls, 2s 8d per pair; ducks, 3s 4d per pair; stack oats, £8; stack hay, 9s. All sundries also brought good prices. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report_having held a successful sale, on account of Messrs Priest Bros., at their homestead, Parkville, on Thursday, August Bth. The cows were in fair condition. Buyers present from all parts of the district, and the herd averaged £6 5s 9c 1 , a record price for this district tNis season. j Heifers in calf realised £ J to £5.25; • milk cows also brought full values.
