MACEDONIA.
Received August 5, 9.52 p.m. ATHENS, August 5. The Government, replying to the Porte's remonstrance, stated that the officers leading the Greek bands in Macedonia would be severely punished, but the presence of the Greeks was mainly due to the fact that Bulgarians had murdered sixty Greeks in the Salonika Monastery in Mav last.
