AN ACT OF REVENGE.
Received August 5, 9.52 p.m. MOROCCO, August 5. A threat by the commander of the French cruiser Galilee to bombard Casablanca induced the authorities to permit 200 Europeans and Jews to leave the town. The tribesmen, when prevented from attacking the refugees, in revenge desecrated the Christian cemetery, burning the corpses.
