HOCKEY.

A match was played on the Schoolgrounn, on Saturday afternoon, between teams representing the Masterton District and Wellington Terrace High Schools. The local team won easily by six goals to nil. The goals were scored by Miss A. Jackson and Miss Easthope (5). Mr J. King was referee. After the match the visiting team was entertained at afternoon tea. The Secretary of the Wairarapa HocUy Association, has received a letter from the Wellington Association stating that August 22nd would not be a suitable date on which to play the representative match Wellington v. Wairarapa. The Wellington Association suggest that the match should be played in September on a date to be fixed.
