LAND SALES.
A large deal in land and stock was effected by Mr W. H. Cruickshank, land agent, Perry Street, Masterton. yesterday, the wellknown "Orui" Estate, owned by Mr W. Cunningham, of Rangiora, being purchased by Mr John Macrae, of Weraiti, Masterton, "Ovui" staticn is situated on the East Coast, and consists of 7,678 acres freehold, and 509 acres leasehold. Mr Macrae has also purchased the stock consisting of 8,500 sheep and 600 head cattle. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having sold on account of Mr A. Admore, of Tawataia, his compact farm of 650 acres to Mr J. P. Harrison, of Feilding. The same firm repo: i; having held a successful clearing ;ale at Mr Admore's homestead last Tuesday, when a large catalogue of live and dead stock were submitted by auction. There was a large attendance of the farming public and g.;od competition took place over all lines offered. The following prices were realised:—Ewes in lamb 23s 2d to 23s 4d, hoggets 14s, light draught horses £25, harness horses £l3, pony £l2, gig £2O.
