CHRISTCHURCH ABATTOIR.

At a meeting of the representative master butchers, held to-night, the following motion was carried unanimously After thoroughly] considering the articles in the Press and the report of the chairman of the Abattoir Committee, this meeting unanimously resolves that to oi-r knowledge all thi statements made by the Press are uner-vr-gerated, and that the abattoir wojld not have been in the state as desiribsdj had the recommendations from the Canterbury Master Butchers' Union and the manager of the abattoir been carried out by the Abattoir Committee. The master butchers are further prepared to meet the members of the City Council, and prove the facts which are within their knowledge."
