FOOTBALL.
MANAWATU v. WAIRARAPA. The Manawatu representative team arrived by the 10 o'clock in Masterton last evening, met at the station by Messrs D. K. Logan, and J. W. Cochrane, members of tha Wairarapa Union, and conveyed to + .he Central Hotel in a drag. Onlj twelve members of the team arrived last evening. The re • maining'.three players will arrive by the 1 o'clock train this afternoon. The members of the team who arrived last evening are as follow: Downes (full-back), Martis and Carroll (three-quarters), Pirani and Rout (five-eighths), Anslow (half), Waldegrave (wing), and Kyle, Hooker, McNae, Sbadbolt and Burgess ( forwards). The manager of the team (Mr K. Armstrong) stated that the team was a very weak combination, and was not to be compared with the one which defeated YVanganui on Saturday last. The forwards were a good set, but the principal weakness was in the backs. Mr Armstrong stated that Wingate would be one of the men who would arrive to-day, but he was not certain who the other two vould be.
The team to represent Kopuaranga against Rangituman at Kopuaranga, on Saturday next, for the Clarke Cup, will be selected from the following—Clarke (2), Chambers, Todd, Dorsett, Scorrar, (2), Cross, Edwards, Stewart (2), Steel, Barbei, McKer.zie, McNaulty, Wrigley and Donovan. The following will represent Rangitumau:— T. McLachlan, T. Harvey, E. Wilton, L. Wilton, N. Wilton, D. Wilton, E. Cameron, F. Blatchford, K. Wilton, N. McLachlan, B. Chamberlain, P. McLachlan, N. Chamberlain, J. Harvey, T. Chamberlain. Emergencies T. Kemble, J. Donovan, A. H. McLachlan, G. Harvey. All players are requited to be on the ground at 2 o'clock. The following team will represent the Old Boys against the Red StarJuniors, on Saturday next:—Fullback, Jones; three-quarters, Berry, Phillips, Waddington; five-eighth, Bowden; half-back, A. Williams (captain); forwards, Miller, Rees, Abbott, Munn, Spackman, Hogg, Loader, Yates, Keeble, Dean. The following team will represent the Albion Seniors against Rover B, at Ma"':erton, to-dayCoyle, McKenz'e, Long, Percy, Tory, Bentley, Hunter, I Keith, Griffiths, Paul, Tohau, and four others.
