BELVEDERE CO-OPERATIVE DAIRY COMPANY.
The following is the annual report of the Belvedere Co-operative Dairy Company, Limited: —The amount of milk received was 4,os6,SSribs, an increase on last year's supply of 795,6801b5. The butter fat amounted to 160,399 bs, the milk showing an average test cf 3.95 per cent. The cheese made was 401,5821bs (179 \ tons), and each pound of butter fat averaged 2.51bs of cheese. The cheese maintained its high standard of excellence throughout the season, and top prices were obtained on the London market and in the colony. During the season progress payments were made to the milk suppliers at the rate of ninepence per lb of butter fat, amounting in all to £6,014 19s, and leaving a balance at the end of the year for distribution £2,745 18s Id, or a little over 13d per pound of butter fat. Out of this sum your Directors have written off 10 per cent, for depreciation of plant and buildings and set aside 6 per cent, as a dividend on paid up capital, the balance being distributed amongst the suppliers. Two Directors, Messrs E. Eagle, junr., and T. Sparks, retire by rotation and are eligible for re-election. You will also be called upon to elect an auditor.
