RICKARDS' VAUDEVILLE CO.
Mr Harry Rickards' Touring Vaudeville Company brought its Masterton season to a close in the Town Hall, last evening, when the attendance was again large. The same artists appeared as on the previous evening, but the items contributed were in most cases different from those given on the previous evening. The audience showed considerable enthusiasm. Each item was warmly applauded, and encores were numerous. Mr Fred. Russell with "Coster Joe" gave an excellent performance. The drawing-room entertainment of Charlene and Charlene, was again appreciated. Monsieur Charlene went through many clever balancing feats, while Madame's playing of the xylophone was a delightful feature of the entertainment. The "turn" of King and Benson was greatly improved last evening, as Mr King's voice was less affected by a cold from which he is suffering. The audience last evening obtained some idea of what a beautiful tenor voice Mr King is possessed of. Miss Benson's humourous songs were again loudly applauded. The dancing and singing of Miss Cassie Walmer were again received with marked approval. Messrs George Dean, Harry Hart, Harry Rochfort and Miss Ada Sadler, contributed several enjoyable iVemj.
