CARTERTON.

(From Our' Own Correspondent.) At the Methodist Church, on Sunday evening, the Rev. W. J. Elliott delivered a sermon to young men on "An Ancient Shipwreck, w:'.h Modern Application." Considering the inclemency of the weather, there was a good number of young n. n present. The sermon proved to be a very interesting one. Mr E. L. Wakelin, one of the oldest inhabitants of this town, is lying dangerously ill. The illness of Mrs W. 0. Bayliss, of Parkvale, is also causing her relatives and friends considerable anxiety.
