ARRESTS IN INDIA.

Received July 29, 8.40 a.m. BOMBAY, July 28. Two hundred persons were arrested at Auck, after an exciting jungle drive, on a charge of committing extensive dacoities. The movement is not connected with the political situation, though those taking part are abetted by the landholder's. (In India robbers who work in gangs are known as dacoits. They are usually very "slim.")
