A CYCLIST'S COMPLAINT.

(To the Editor). Sir, —I have a few remarks to make about the way that we cyclists ride on the footpaths. I think that people ought to understand that the reason why we ride on the paths is dn account of the present state of the roads. On Saturday night I was walking along Lower Queen Street, near Mr Allpass' baker's shop. There was a man riding his bicycle as lai-ge as life and whistling for people to get out of his way so that he could get past. Where was the man in blue? I think that people with perambulators ought to have more sense than to stand in the middle of the footpaths blocking up the thoroughfare.—l am, etc., CYCLSTS BLAMED FOR ALL. Masterton, July 27th, 1907.
