BUSINESS EXTENSION.
In the advertising columns, this morning, The Book Arcade Company notify that their business has been purchased by Messrs McLeod and Young, booksellers and stationers. From Ist all periodical and newspaper customers will be supplied from "The Academy." In order to prov de the necessary room to accommodate the increased business and stock, Messrs McLeod and Young are now having large additions made to their fine premises opposite the Post Office, which, when completed, will give them an establishment certainly far ahead of the town. To facilitate the removal of stock, a great closing down sale will commence on August Ist at the Book Arcade premises, a few particulars of which are given in an inset circulated with this morning's issue. It is absolutely necessary to effect a speedy clearance,' and on this account really genuine bargains are to be offered at prices that should appeal to one and a'l. The price of every article is plainly marked, and the firm extend a cordial invitation to the public to call and see for themselves the bargains under offer.
