OPAKI.
(From Correspondent.) One of the most successful functions ever held at Opaki was tie plain and fancy dress bail given by ; the ladies of the district, on Tuesday evening last, in a building kindly lent for the occasion by Mr J. Campbell, senr. About fifty couples were present. The music was supplied by Mr Volheim. The l-oom was tastefully decorated with ferns, foliage, etc... and the floor was in splendid order. The duties of M's.C. were carried out by Mesdames Hunt and Nicholson, and Miss Chamberlain, secretary. At the conclusion of the dance Mr Kemble, on behalf of the gentlemen and visitors present, congratulated the ladies on the success of the function, and thanked them for their hospitality. Three hearty cheers were given for the Opaki ladies.
