THE EXHIBITION SEALS.
By Telegraph—Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, July 25. A message received from Kaiapoi to-day states that two seals, believed to be the Exhibition seals, were found dead near Kainpoi, with bullet wounds in their bodies, and their skins off. Yesterday the Inspector for the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals went to New Brighton and shot "Nellie," the female seal which was at the Exhibition.
