LONDON WOOL SALES.

At the wool sales the following were the average prices realised for fleece portions of the clips named: — Moeraki 12|d, Awhea ll£d, W.D. 10|d. The sales closed firm at full rates. ,By Telegraph—Press Association. Received July 25, 9.18 p.mi" LONDON, July 25. The wool sold to Home buyers amounted to 82,000 bales, Continent 55,000 bales, America 5,000 bales. The bales held over totalled 24,000, including 19,500 bales from New Zealand. Compared with the May closing rates the best merinos suitable for the 'American trade were fully five per cent, dearer. Average sorts were slightly in sellers' favour, short and faulty especially. Scoureds were a halfpenny to a penny lower, good greasy crossbreds firm and unchanged, shabby and faulty sorts declined five to ten per cent. Of slipes there was a superabundant supply of the finest. The coarsest declined a halfpenny to a penny, and medium one penny. Best merino lamb wool is unchanged. Faulty merino and New Zealand crossbreds have declined a halfpenny to a penny. The average price realised for the fleece portion of the undermentioned clips was: —Ngakonui, Homewood, lid.
