LONDON PASSENGER TRAFFIC.
Received July 24, 8.2 a.m. LONDON, July 23. The chief underground railways, motor, and horse omnibus companies, have resolved to form a London Passenger Traffic Board to consider the question of remunerative fares. One hundred and ten motor omnibuses have been withdrawn from the service, it being alleged that a penny a mile is necessary to ensure a profit. There are 850 motor omnibuses still running in the London street area. The Street Noise Abatement Committee allege that the motor omnibuses and traction engine traffic has depreciated London house property Joy six million pounds.
