The sum of £15,308 was put through the totalisator, being £3,856 more than the corresponding day last year. The winning double on the Parliamentary Handicap and Winter Hurdles paid £ll3 lis. Results : Stewards' Handicap, 6 furlongs.— St. Bill 9.10, 1; Gawain, 9.12, 2; Jolly Friar, 9.6, 3. Also started —St. Claimer, Platypus, Chicane, Makikihi, Kaiuku, Pardon and Silver Shell. Won by a length. Time, 1 min 19sec. Dividends, £5 12s and £1 17s. Miramar Hack Handicap, 7 furlongs.—Wakaraka, 9.0, 1; Truthful, 10.0, 2; Tangaroa, 9.9. 3.
