TRUST LANDS TRUST.
ORDINARY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Masterton Trust Lands Trustees was held last evening. There were present: — Messrs T. B. Michell (chairman), D. Caselberg, E. G. Eton, J. Hessey, E. McEwen, R. Krahagan, W. H. Jackson. An apology for absence was received for Mr T. VVagg. The Treasurer reported a credit balance of £173 2s Bd. Accounts amounting to £IOO lis 9d, including a number of grants, were passed for payment. The Masterton South Brass Band and Miss Kay wrote thanking the Trustees for grants made to them. Mr S. Earee wrote asking permission to hang an "act drop" in the Town Hall for advertising purposes. The application was refused. Mr W. Iggulden wrote applying for a refund of the amount paid for the use of the Town Hall on the occasion of the sacred concert given in aid ox Mr J. K. Blinkhorne, and family. On the motion of Mr Eton the application was granted. An application was made by the Masterton Technical School Managers for a few loads of gravel to be laid near the entrance to the technical workshop in Dixon Street. The application was granted. Mr Eton moved that Mr A. W. Hogg, M.Ii.R., be written to stating that no reply had yet been received from the Minister of Justice with reference to the exchange of sites, although a fortnight has passed since the deputation placed their views before the Minister. The motion was carried. The Trustees decided to have all the Trust cottages numbered. The Chairman and Mr Jackson were appointed to attend to the matter. The secretary was instructed to prepare a list of all Trust tenants, the rentals paid by them, and how much, if any, they are in arrears with their rents.
