COURSING.

By Telegraph—Press Association

PALMERSTON NORTH, July 17. The finals of the Maiden Stake and Members' Sweepstake, at the Palmerston North Coursing Cbb's meeting, were run to-day. The final of the Maiden was an exceptionally interesting course, Fitzgerald Bros., of Wellington, winning the stake with St. Olliver, beating Lady Cardigan, owned by W. J. Williams, of Feilding, the points in the final course being eight to six. In the Members' Sweepstake H. Overton's Searchlight and Moss' Rose remained in the final, and the owners decided to divide the stake. The Club made the substantial profit of £IOO over the meeting.
