This herd of cows has been carefully selected, and the present sale will be of particular interest to dairy farmers, who will have an opportunity of adding to their milking herds. Readers are reminded of the important sale of sheep, horses, etc., to be held by Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., at Opaki, on Friday, 19th inst., in the estate of the late Hugh Welch. It is recognised that the ewes to be offered are among the best lines in the district, the sheep being well woolled, large framed, and in excellent condition. are in lamb to first-class* Lincoln rams. The ewe hoggets are also an excellent line, and keen competition should take place for these. The hoggets have been well looked after, and are splendidly grown. The horses are also a serviceable lot, and should command attention. As the sale is unreserved buyers can rely on everything going to the highest bidder. The sale will commence punctually at 11.30 a.m., and luncheon will.be provided.
