COMMERCIAL.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., held a special sale of dairy stock, etc., at Kopuaranga, on Tuesday, on account of Mr A. B. Cottle. There was a good attendance of the public, and although the quality of the cows submitted was recognised the majority of the dairy farmers could not operate on account of the scarcity of feed. However most of the cows were disposed of at prices ranging from £3 m/to £5 10s, making an average of n£4 Is, a bull sold at £2 ss, breeding sows from 40s to 50s, weaners 5s 9d, ducks 5s to 5s 6d per pail'. A quantity of farming machinery, milk cans, etc., reached satisfactory prices.
