UNITED STATES AND JAPAN.
THE PASSING STORM. Received July 11, 9.51 p.m. NEW YORK, July 11. Admiral Yamamoto, interviewed here, said he thought that the passing storm between Japan and the United States would disappear in the waters of the Pacific. Much depended on the attitude of the Press. He appealed to the newspapers to use their influence to maintain peace. The State Department at Washington states that no negotiations are proceeding between Japan and the United States.
