STOCK MARKET.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., held their fortnightly sale at Pahiatua on Tuesday. Owing to the wet weather entries fell short of advertised riumbers. Sheep were chiefly represented by ewes in lamb, for which there was a good demand, all lots finding purchasers. Only a few cattle came forward, and the majority of these, not being of good quality, were passed out unsold. Two and 4-tooth wethers reached 17s 61, sound mouth ewes in lamb 19s 5d t ) 19s 6d, light beef cows 70s, store ows 275. In the Estate of J. Upston, deceased, a harness mare sold at £l6 10s, pony £3 'l7s 6d, dogs M 2s fid to £4 12s 6d.
