Now that the high pressure water supply problem has been solved renewed interest is being shown in the proposals of the City Council to harness the Waimakariri River for the purpose of providing electric power for the city. The Mayor proposes to push on with the necessary investigation of the matter with the object of placing a. definite scheme before the ratepayers at an early date.
