FATAL RAILWAY ACCIDENT.

By Telegraph —Press Association. WELLINGTON, July 5. William Clarke, a farmer residing at Upper Hutt, met with an accident on Saturday night which terminated fatally. After alighting from the train at the Upper Hutt he went to cross the line while shunting was in progress. By some means he was struck by a truck, both legs being crushed. Clarke dted in the Wellington Hospital, at 2.30 o'clock, this morning. The deceased was a married man about 53 years of age.
