HORSE THIEVES HORRIBLY TORTURED.
Received July 4, 7.49 a.m. ST. PETERSBURG, July 3. Peasants at Cherniatin, in Volhynia (a government of South-west-ern Russia) captured fifteen horse thieves. The peasants horribly tortured their prisoners for a whole day, killing one and crippling and mutilating the* rest.
