WINTER SCHOOL FOR TEACHERS.
By Telegraph—Press Association
WELLINGTON, June 1. An innovation in educational methods has been decided upon in connection with the Teachers' Training College at Wellington by organising a "winter school for teachers from schools 'in the outlying country districts. The seven Education Boards in what is known as the middle district were invited by the Committee of Advice to nominate a teacher for a three weeks' course of winter school, beginning on the 23rd inst. It was stipulated that the teachers chosen should be the most deserving and those who were least likely to come into contact with city methods.
